Hungary and UK agree to strengthen cooperation in energy policy and business development

Hungary and the United Kingdom have agreed to increase cooperation in energy policy and business development, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjártó told MTI after meeting with UK officials in London on Thursday. Szijjártó said that he met with the United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change Edward Davey and Minister of State for Business and Enterprise Michael Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of UK Trade and Investment Nick Baird and the leaders of the recently established British-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Trade. Szijjártó told MTI that Hungary and the United Kingdom are both striving to strengthen energy security, an objective the countries aim to achieve primarily through the diversification of energy sources.
