Retail sales volume in Hungary fell a calendar year-adjusted 3.6% yr/yr in March 2009, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Monday.
Retail sales dropped 0.6% from February according to seasonally- and calendar year-adjusted figures.
January-March sales volume was down 3.2% from a year earlier.
Retail sales have been dropping yr/yr each month since February 2007.
Because of 2008 changes in line with a new revised statistical classification of economic activities in the European Union, the KSH figures include turnover from the sale of vehicle fuel from January 2009. (MTI-Econews)
