Prices of Hungarian homes rose 1% in Q1 2012, the first increase in 18 months, according to figures published by real estate broker Duna House on Tuesday.
Based on Q1 figures, prefabricated homes were the most expensive in the northwestern part of Budapest, where the cost was HUF 274,00 per square meter.
Homes in northern Hungary were typically sold at a 30% lower price than originally planned by the owner, according to Duna House's data. The discount compared to expectations was the least: 7% in the sales of prefabricated housing in the north of Budapest.
