Hungarian Energy Office president announces resignation

Hungarian Energy Office (MEH) President Zoltán Matos has announced that he will resign from his post effective June 30, the business daily Világgazdaság reported on Friday.

Matos has announced he will leave his post as of June 30 at a meeting of MEH staff, Világgazdaság said.

Matos has reportedly agreed on his resignation with the relevant ministry that will issue a call for applications to serve as the next president of the energy office.

The newspaper reported that MOL business development director Péter Horváth is likely to be appointed to succeed Matos as head of the MEH. (MTI-Econews)
