The government named five investments worth a combined HUF 14.7 billion “priority projects” -- speeding up their access to funding and permits -- at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, state secretary at the Ministry of National Development and Economy László Varjú said.
Four of the projects are city rehabilitation projects in Miskolc, Szeged, Zalaegerszeg and Hódmezővásárhely. The fifth involves the area around Záhony, which Hungary aims to turn into a regional logistics center. The projects are receiving a combined HUF 9.9 billion in EU funding. The projects are expected to be completed between the end of 2010 and mid-2011. (MTI-Eco)
