Germany values the steps which the Hungarian government has taken to consolidate the economy and manage the financial and economic crisis, economy minister István Varga said after meeting his German counterpart Rainer Bruderle.
The German economy minister positively evaluated his country's economic outlook and said that growth of 2.0%-2.5% could be expected in Germany this year.
Germany's growth is a key factor boosting Hungary's recovery, given the close ties between the two economies, Varga said.
The two ministers discussed possible new areas of investment for Germans in Hungary, including “green” areas such as organic farming and the environmental and energy efficiency industries. (MTI – Econews)
