Around HUF 22bn is still available from the general budget reserves after HUF 13.4bn had to be paid out already in the second half of this year, primarily on flood damages, the Ministry of National Economy told MTI.
Parliament has set the general budget reserves at HUF 57.3bn for 2010. Under the statutory regulations, the Bajnai-government could have spent 40pc of this amount, or HUF 22.9bn in the first half of the year; the actual spending amounted to HUF 21.9bn.
In addition to the general reserves, the 2010 budget includes stability reserves of HUF 100bn and interest rate risk reserves of HUF 50bn. (MTI-ECONEWS)
