General-government net borrowing 4.8% of GDP in 12 months to end of July

Hungary's general-government net borrowing was equal to 4.8 % of GDP in the twelve-month period ending on July 31, 2010, according to preliminary data that the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) published on Monday. In the twelve months to March 31 it was 4.4%.

 

The MNB said Hungary's general-government consolidated gross-debt at nominal value amounted to 82.9% of GDP at the end of the Q2 2010, after 79.6% at the end of Q1.

Net lending to households was equivalent of 4.7% of GDP in the twelve-month period up to the end of Q2, up from 2.9% at end Q1. (MTI – Econews)
