General-government net borrowing 4.4% of GDP in 12 months to end of March

Hungary's general-government net borrowing was equal to 4.4% of GDP in the twelve-month period ending on March 31, 2010, according to preliminary data that the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) published on Monday.

The MNB said Hungary's general-government consolidated gross-debt at nominal value amounted to 79.6% of GDP at the end of the first quarter of 2010.

Net lending of households in Hungary was equivalent to 2.9% of GDP in the four quarters ending on March 31, 2010. (MTI-Econews)
