The European Parliament's budget audit committee is sending a fact-finding mission to Hungary to review the country's use of EU funding, Hungarian EP and deputy head of the committee Tamás Deutsch said when asked by MTI, confirming press reports.
The committee made the decision in Brussels on Thursday, Deutsch said. The fact-finding mission will visit Budapest next year, he added.
The committee decided to send fact-finding missions to Italy and Greece, too, where “similar problems turned up,” as well as to candidate state Croatia, Deutsch of opposition party Fidesz said. (MTI – Econews)
