Ecostat projects twelve-month consumer price inflation in Hungary will reach 3.7% in February, level with the rate in August, the economic think tank said in its fresh Mikroszkóp report, which gives projections for four months in the future.
Ecostat sees gross wages rising 2.6% in February as private sector wages climb 3.7% but public sector wages stagnate.
Gross wages inched up 0.3% in July, the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (KSH) show. They dropped 5.8% in the public sector, in part because cutbacks in public work programmes, but rose 3.0% in the private sector.
Ecostat forecasts seasonally- and workday-adjusted industrial output will rise 9.2% in February as domestic sales climb 4.7% and exports sales increase 11%.
