DBH Group is set to begin construction on a Ft 320 million-Ft 350 million business innovation and incubator center in east Hungary designed to promote the competitiveness of domestic and foreign SMEs operating in the region, according to an article in the Thursday issue of the economic daily Világgazdaság.
DBH Group, which received Ft 114 million in funding for construction of the center from the Economic Competitiveness Operational Program (GVOP), intends to focus particular attention on projects that help Dutch companies to establish themselves in Hungary. Company officials expect the Debrecen-located business innovation and incubator center to begin operating in spring, 2007.
DBH Group, with offices located in Rotterdam, Budapest and Debrecen, has attracted more than €75 million in working capital to Hungary over the past 11 years, according to Világgazdaság. Most of the investment were in the country's least developed east Hungarian region, and helped create more than 2,500 new jobs.
