The Danube is expected to begin rising again in Hungary over the coming days, officials from the Northern Transdanubia Environmental Protection and Water Affairs Directorate told MTI on Monday.
Second-degree flood-protection measures have been put in place on the stretch of the Danube between Komárom and Esztergom (both N Hungary).
Flood-protection measures have also been instituted along the Lajta and Rába rivers in western Hungary. (MTI-ECONEWS)
