Corporate computer use rises to 91%

As of September 2005, 91% of companies employing at least five people used computers, up from 89% in November 2004, according to a joint study by economic research company research GKI Rt, T-Mobile Hungary Rt and Sun Microsystems Hungary Kft. The most significant increase took place at companies employing 10-19 people.

All companies with 50 or more employees own and use computers, and the PC ratio is 86% even at micro-businesses with 5-9 employees. Firms active in finance or real estate are above average, while those in catering and tourism are below average in computer usage, the study said.
