Construction sector output rises 1.2% yr/yr in July

Output volume of Hungary's construction sector rose 1.2% in July compared to the same month a year earlier, according to both unadjusted and working-day adjusted figures, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Monday. Compared to June, output rose a seasonally- and working day-adjusted 3.5%. In the first seven months of 2006, the output volume of the construction sector fell 1.3%. At current prices construction sector output was worth Ft 201.4 billion (€ 738.16 million) in July and was worth Ft 1,029.9 billion in the first seven months. Prices in the construction sector rose 8.8% yr/yr in July, increasing 1.7% from June. Prices in the construction sector increased 6.5% yr/yr in Januar-July. (Mti-Eco)
