About Ft 3.8 billion in government grants have gone to 123 companies under the Supporting Company Innovation program, the Ministry of Economy and Transport announced on Saturday.
Applications for grants for the program, which is part of the Economic Competitiveness Operative Program (GVOP), were first announced in the second half of 2004. In the next phase of the program, for which applications were due by April 10, grants worth a combined Ft 1.2 billion will be available.
Since the launch of the GVOP, some 8,700 applicants have won grants of more than Ft 141 billion, 90% of the three-year allocation under the program.
