The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index opened Thursday trade up 0.51% at 24,112.50.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Thursday's opening bell:
Oil and gas company MOL was up 1.03% at HUF 24,550;

On Wednesday, the BUX gained 1.65% to 23,989.53 on a turnover of HUF 13.98 billion.
Zoltán Ballai of Raiffeisen Bank remarked that the value of shares traded at global bourses should continue their "incomprehensible" rise on Thursday, predicting that the BUX would gain between 200 and 250 points during the BSE's Thursday session.
Szabolcs Takács of KBC Equitas said the positive sentiment that currently predominates on global markets suggests that the BUX will advance on Thursday morning, while subsequent economic news, notably U.S. corporate-earnings data, is likely to determine the course of trade at the BSE on Thursday afternoon.
