The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index opened Thursday trade down 0.93% at 23,407.30.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Thursday's opening bell:
OTP Bank was down 1.40% at HUF 6,211;
Oil and gas company MOL was down 1.07% at HUF 23,150;
Drug company Richter was down 0.56% at HUF 37,120;
Magyar Telekom was down 0.37% at HUF 544.
On Wednesday, the BUX down 0.65% to 23,627.56 on a turnover of HUF 11.54billion.
Szabolcs Takács of KBC Equitas commented that currently negative market-sentiment is likely to weigh on the BUX at the beginning of the Budapest Stock Exchange's Thursday session, adding that the publication of U.S. PPI and retail-sales data at 2:30 p.m., Central European Time, could exercise an impact on the course of trade at the BSE.
