BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Friday's opening bell:
OTP Bank was down 0.78% at HUF 6,400; Oil and gas company MOL was down 0.61% at HUF 24,600; Drug company Richter was down 0.21% at HUF 37,200; Magyar Telekom was down 0.16% at HUF 606.
On Thursday, the BUX closed up 0.69% to 24,277.27 on a turnover of HUF 15billion.
Zsolt Balásy of Concorde Securities predicted that European share indices, including the BUX, would open Friday trade modestly lower, adding that the BSE blue-chip index is like underperform in comparison to its global peers during the final trade session of the current week.
Zoltán Varga of QUAESTOR Zrt forecast a flat open at the Budapest Stock Exchange, noting that markets in the United Kingdom will be closed on Friday for the royal wedding.
