The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index opened Friday trade down 0.07% at 24,072.56. BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Friday's opening bell: Drug company Richter was down 0.37% at HUF 37,860;
Oil and gas company MOL was down 0.02% at HUF 24,525;
Magyar Telekom was unchanged at HUF 610;
OTP Bank was up 0.02% at HUF 6,261.
On Thursday, the BUX closed up 0.42% to 24,089.61 on a turnover of HUF 14.3 billion.
Szold Balásy of Concorde Securities predicted that Good Friday trade would be light at the Budapest Stock Exchange, noting that the BSE is one of the few European bourses to remain open on the holiday. Balásy added that the BUX index is therefore likely to shuffle in ranges on Friday.
