Lajos Bokros, ex finance minister said, that for restarting economical growth in Hungary, we need not only targeted economic-politics, but also deep structural changes and overall reforms.
Speaking about sharing burdens Bokros emphasized that its key factor is not the fashionable tax cuts, but increasing the numbers of taxpayers together with widening the range of taxed revenues.
Suggesting the cancellation of the tax free minimum wage, introducing a 10% tax on it. He says the tax reform can be executed without decreasing budget revenue; the so called neutral tax reform is possible.
Bokros suggests a standardized and simplified taxing system in company profit-tax, together with canceling EVA (simplified company tax). He would get the tax-free sectors and activities taxed, but with lower taxes and simpler regulations. (origo)
