Average age of Hungarian cars rises over ten years

The average age of cars on the road in Hungary is more than ten years and just under a quarter are less than four years old, a survey by the Hungarian unit of German engineering giant Robert Bosch shows.

The number of new cars sold in Hungary was halved in the past two years compared to 2006-2008, raising the average age of all of those on the road, Robert Bosch said.

The average age of cars in the capital was 8.8 years, while it was 10.4 years for other cities and 11.1 years for villages. (MTI – Econews)
