Serbian Minister of Trade and Services Predrag Bubalo met today with a delegation of businessmen from Salzburg province and discussed economic cooperation between Serbia and Austria, and the stated province in particular.
The Ministry of Trade and Services says in a statement that representatives of the largest Austrian retail chain Spahr voiced interest in entering Serbia’s market and adds that the company has 25,000 employees and over 1,000 retail facilities, of which around 500 are in Italy and 280 in Slovenia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Croatia.
At the meeting, held at the ministry, the collocutors also talked about the upcoming privatisation of the Belgrade Fairgrounds, for which Austria’s Reed Exhibitions is interested. The delegation, led by Salzburg Vice-Governor Wilfried Haslauer, comprised directors of the Spahr retail chain Karl Blumberger and Karl Adamek, and Director of the Reed Exhibitions, Matthias Limbeck.
