Hungarian agribusiness Arany-Mezo on Thursday inaugurated an HUF 800m biogas plant in Bicserd (SW Hungary).
Arany-Mezo will use manure from its livestock to make an annual 2.6m cubic metres of biogas at the 635kW plant, said chairman-CEO Gyula Berki. The plant will generate enough electricity for 950 homes as well as heat energy for 450 homes, he added.
Arany-Mezo employs about a hundred people. It had consolidated revenue of about HUF 1.5bn last year.
