Analysts polled by business daily Napi Gazdaság and Reuters estimate consumer inflation rose at around 4.4% in December, up from 4.2% in both November and October.
The Central Statistics Office (KSH) will publish December CPI on Friday.
Higher food prices and higher fuel prices may have contributed to the increase, said the analysts, who estimate annual inflation at 3.8%, above the official forecast.
Analysts in a Reuters poll conducted on January 5-10 also forecast 4.4% yr/yr inflation for December. (MTI Econews)
