The number of active mobile subscriptions in Hungary fell 28,000 to 10.922 million and the total number of mobile phone subscriptions rose 48,000 to 11.883 million in February, the National Communications Authority (NHH) reported on Monday.
The number of mobile phone subscriptions per hundred people rose to 118.7 by the end of February from 118.2 at the end of January. This indicator peaked at 121.8 at the end of December 2008, falling to 116.5 by the end of November.
Vodafone's share of all subscriptions remained unchanged at 22.09%, while Pannon's share grew to 34.81% in February from 34.68% in January and T-Mobile's share fell to 43.10% from 43.23%.
Total subscription numbers were down 299,000 at the end of February from twelve months earlier, while the number of active subscriptions was down just 4,000.
In terms of active subscribers, Vodafone's share rose to 22.75% in February from 22.61% in January, Pannon's fell to 32.96% from 33.04% and T-Mobile's share dropped to 44.29% from 44.36%, NHH said. (MTI-ECONEWS)
