Weekly newspaper Világgazdaság revealed four main points of the referendum against the lift on the eviction moratorium proposed by András Szántó-Fülei earlier this month. The referendum calls for an additional four-month extension on the moratorium and the introduction of personal bankruptcy. The writers of the proposal want to put a cap on the amount claimed by creditors which should not exceed the value of real estate serving as collateral. Exchange rate risk should be shared between the financial institution and the debtor, the writers proposed. Világgazdaság published the data after demonstrators protested against the lift of eviction moratorium in front of the headquarters of Hungarian Banking Association on Friday.
