University admission points to be published tonight

Higher education portal will publish admission points to colleges and universities Thursday night, putting an end to the admission process for the 2010/2011 academic year.

According to preliminary data, tourism-hospitality, economy and management are at the top of the BA education list of popularity.

Altogether 140,000 students applied for higher education admission this year, 13,000 more than in 2009. The ratio of those who applied electronically grew by almost 50%.

In 2010, no-one will be admitted under 200 points to allowance, subsidized or ungraded training. Last year all the large universities had strong competition, with admission points ranging between 320 and 450. For the bachelor degree, the average point limit was 364 in 2009. (BBJ)
