The number of landline and cable television network line telephone connections fell to 2.979 million in September, the National Media and Telecommunications Authority (NMHH) said on Thursday.
The number of conventional landline telephone connections fell to 2.331 million in September from 2.349 million in August, while the number of telephone connections operations through cable television networks amounted to 552,000, down from 544,000 in the previous month. The number of IP-based connections fell 1,000 to 96,000.
The number of landline telephone connections per 100 people was 29.8 in September, and 60.19% of households had a landline telephone connection. (MTI-ECONEWS)
