The number of registered job-seekers in Hungary reached 545,500 in October, up 0.5% from the previous month, but down 4.2% from twelve months earlier, fresh data published by the State Employment Service (AFSZ) show.
Around 30% of the registered job-seekers had looked for employment for more than a year in October, slightly more than in the previous month.
Employers announced 26,000 new jobs in October, down 8.6% from one month earlier, but up 7.3% from the same period of last year. Around 44% of the jobs were subsidized in some form by the state. (MTI Econews)
