Péter Simon has been named head of Hungary's state farm product marketing agency Agrármarketing Centrum (AMC), the Rural Development Ministry's press department confirmed for MTI on Monday.
Simon's predecessor, József Pál, was sacked by Rural Development Minister Sándor Fazekas with effect from the end of July.
Simon earlier worked for the National Development Agency. In 2003-2004, he worked in the legal department of the farm ministry.
Hungary was the first country in Eastern Europe to establish its own farm product marketing agency, setting up AMC in 1996. (MTI-Econews)
