Hungary's National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) is prepared to conduct the sale of a fourth mobile frequency in the 900 MHz band via either tender or auction, NMHH Deputy President Gábor Mátrai told MTI on Tuesday.
No final decision has been made with regard to the means by which the frequency will be sold. The authority has prepared for every option, and it is testing an auctioning software.
National Development Minister Tamás Fellegi announced on March 4 that the government would soon sell the frequency.
The Hungarian units of Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone and Telenor currently hold the rights to mobile frequencies in the band.
