More Hungarians show consumer savvy, survey shows

About 61% of Hungarians are “genuinely knowledgeable” shoppers , up from 56% a year ago and just 47% in 2007, a survey by market research company Ipsos shows. The percentage of “very knowledgeable” shoppers among Hungarians rose to 21% from 15% in 2007, while the percentage of less astute shoppers fell to 5% from 16%. Surprisingly, the survey showed the percentage of Hungarian shoppers who do research before making a purchase fell 10 percentage points from 2007 to 51% in 2010. (MTI-Econews)
