Hungary's Public Procurement Arbitration Board (KDB) has annulled the result of a tram tender called by the city of Miskolc (NE Hungary), Ágnes Csontos, PR manager for the city's transport company MVK, told MTI on Thursday.
The KDB made the decision based on a complaint by Spain's CAF, which said the local government had given unlawful answers to questions it asked, thus changing the tender invitation and documentation. The KDB also fined the city HUF 1 million for the offense.
CAF bid against Skoda of the Czech Republic, Italy's Ansaldobreda and Solaris of Poland to deliver 31 trams to the city.
It was the third time the tender was annulled. (MTI Econews)
