Hungarian internet users plan to spend an average HUF 33,800 on holiday presents this year, according to an online survey by Arukereso.hu based on interviews with 2,000 people.
About 61% of those surveyed said they plan to spend at most HUF 30,000 on presents, while 16% plan to spend more than HUF 50,000.
The survey showed 79% of people get information on the internet before buying presents, and 65% plan to purchase gifts online.
The most popular gifts this year are clothes, followed by toys, cosmetics, books and consumer electronics. (MTI – Econews)
