A new electronic parking fee map, the Elektronikus Parkolási Díjtérkép (EPD) was prepared with the contribution of two members of the Hungarian Parking Association that will make it easier to find information about the parking zones and actual parking fees in Budapest.
The electronic parking fee map will make the parking system more transparent for drivers and will help them to find information about parking easier, Ferenc Kocsis, secretary of the Hungarian Parking Association told daily Népszabadság.
The idea was to set up a practical internet application that would help drivers find information about parking fees before the journey. Therefore with the help of EPD drivers can decide whether they wish to park further where they can pay less for the parking.
The Budapest parking fee map will be followed with similar applications for major countryside cities.
The Elektronikus Parkolási Díjtérkép ia a non profit development designed by the team of picipenz.com for parkonet.com, a professional parking information portal awarded with the Website of the Year 2010 title. (ASz)
