US-owned carbon fiber maker Zoltek and Danish healthcare products maker Coloplast restarted production at their plants in Hungary after restrictions on gas consumption by some big consumers were lifted.
Attila Balogh, plant director for Coloplast, said production would start with the second shift on Thursday, following a one-day shutdown.
The restrictions forced Zoltek to scale back production by three-fourths on Wednesday, but the plant returned to full capacity on Thursday.
Restrictions on “category II” gas consumers, that use 500-2,500 cubic meters of gas per day, were introduced Wednesday morning and lifted early Thursday. (MTI – Econews)
