Wizz Air, Central and Eastern Europe's largest low-cost airline, has taken delivery of its eighth Airbus A320 aircraft in Airbus Industries' facilities in Toulouse, the company announced. This is the second brand new equipment leased from Aviation Capital Group (ACG), a subsidiary of Pacific Life Corp.
The aircraft is powered by International Aero Engines' V-2500 engines and comes with a single class configuration of 180 seats as do all aircraft in Wizz Air's all-A320 fleet. The aircraft is taken on a five-year lease term. The new aircraft will serve the Polish market.
"The deployment of this new aircraft will further enhance our leadership in Poland as well as the CEE region," chief executive József Váradi commented.
