Hungarian low-fare airline Wizz Air said its passenger numbers rose 23% to 9.6 million in 2010.
Passenger numbers on Budapest flights climbed 21% to 1.2 million, Wizz Air said.
The average load factor for all of Wizz Air's flights was 84% in 2010, about the same as in 2009.
Wizz Air operates 34 Airbus A320 aircraft from twelve bases in Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. It will open two more bases, in Belgrade and Vilnius, in April.
Wizz Air wants to expand its network on existing markets and on new ones, such as Serbia and Lithuania, said Wizz Air CEO József Váradi.
