Hungarian-owned contract electronics manufacturer Videoton on Tuesday said it acquired a majority stake in STS Technology, a precision parts maker in Győr (W Hungary) that specialises in single-item and small serial production.
Videoton did not reveal the price of the transaction. STS Technology's main activity includes developing and making high-precision implanting equipment for microchip makers. It is the only company in Hungary that specialises in the assembly of a range of basic machines and machine units. STS Technology targets revenue of HUF 2.8 billion this year.
