Viasat Hungária’s first half revenues show stagnation, growing about 1% in the first quarter, but losing it in the second. The operator of Viasat3 and TV6 channels consideres these figures a fair result.
Viasat owner Modern Times Group closed Q2 with an 8% and H1 with a 7% increase compared to the same period of last year. As for the different market segments, the Hungarian company is grouped with Ghana and Slovenia, reaching 8% growth in the second quarter and 6% in the first half. According to the MTG report, the three were backed up by a 20% increase at the Slovenian TV3 channel.
The Hungarian affiliate considers the results fair compared to similar domestic channels. It also means that further investments don’t have to be cancelled and Viasat3 can launch three self-produced program in the autumn season. (BBJ)
