The Hungarian National Vacation Foundation (MNÜA) issued vacation vouchers worth close to HUF 50 billion in 2009 compared to HUF 41 billion in 2008, the foundation told MTI on Wednesday.
About 2 million employees and their families used vacation vouchers in 2009, as many as in the previous year.
Last year, 40,000 companies, institutions and civil organizations ordered vacation vouchers from the foundation, and the number of places the vouchers are accepted rose to 15,000.
MNÜA said it expects both the number of vacation vouchers issued and the number of users to stagnate in 2010, while the number of organizations ordering vacation vouchers could grow to 50,000 and the number of places the vouchers are accepted to 16,000 this year. (MTI-ECONEWS)
