US medical technology firm Kinetic Concepts Inc (KCI) will expand its Budapest service centre, increasing staff numbers to almost 200 by the end of this year, which could double over the next few years, head of the service centre Adriano Cito told MTI.
Cito said they concluded one of the biggest leases of the Budapest property market in 2010 when they signed their contract for 4,200sqm in office space for 6 years.
He said the company moved the service centre to Budapest because of the availability of qualified workforce and excellent quality and efficiency of the Hungarian service centre. In fact, contrary to general trends, they moved certain business processes from India to Budapest.
In addition to financial and administrative processes, such as billing and accounting, the Budapest centre will also perform activities with higher added value such as financial analysis.
KCI's Budapest service centre serves Canada, the United States and five European markets, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom with transaction-based functions, and will also be responsible for Italy from the end of October.
