US-based Mylan, the third-biggest generic drug maker in the world, is spending €67 million on a packaging plant in the Hungarian city of Komárom, the company said.
Mylan will announce details of the investment at press conferences in Budapest and Komárom on Thursday.
Komárom mayor János Zatyko said the company had picked the Komárom Industrial Park to build the plant after a series of negotiations over several months. The company has bought a vacant production hall, he added.
The plant will employ about 400 people when it reaches full capacity, Zatyko said. (MTI – Econews)
