Twenty-one to compete for the most promising Hungarian tech innovation title

From boxing robots to country image corrector app, 21 promising innovation pieces will be presented at the fourth Innovation Tech Show on June 6, 2012, all with the aim to win the title of Hungary's Best Innovation Development.

On June 6, 2012, the most promising ICT developments and invention will present themselves at the Innovation Tech Show, organized in Akvárium club in Budapest downtown by Mobility and Multimedia Cluster. The aim of the event to draw the attention of experts, potential investor and also a wider audience the latest developments from the ICT sector in Hungary, selected from more than 40 applicants (startups and SMEs).

Besides them, many investors and developers, already successful on a global scale, will take part of the show: MIT/Stanford Venture Lab board member Gigi Wang will talk about the relationship between culture and innovation, while Mark Iwanowski, former VP of Oracle and present VC investor will feature with a presentation about startup trends. This year's government patrons are foreign affairs minister János Martonyi and György Mészáros, chairman of the National Innovation Office.

Other important players of the scene, such as the most productive local startup incubation programs and universities' technology transfer offices will also be there, presenting their methodologies, strengths and success stories. “This shows that the innovation ecosystem is strengthening in Hungary, the take up of the best ideas and converting them to an operating enterprise is getting flawless,” said Gábor Pukler, chairman of the Mobility and Multimedia Cluster, innovation and business development manager of Magyar Telekom.  Anikó Jóri-Molnár
