Tesco opens 58th store in Hungary

Supermarket chain Tesco Global Stores Zrt opened yesterday a 1,000 square meter store in Zirc, northwest Hungary, spokeswoman Éva Bogár announced.

The store is the 58th Tesco store in Hungary, and the sixth unit the company has opened this year. The store will employ 25 people. In 2006, Tesco plans to open 25 new stores, including at locations it is renting from furniture company Domus under a 15-year lease. It also plans to open 17 new petrol stations at its stores.
