Tesco fined for selling sub-standard radio

Hungary's National Communications Authority (NHH) said it fined UK supermarket chain Tesco because it failed to discontinue the sale of a sub-standard radio after it was banned by the NHH.

The NHH banned the sale of Technika TA719 radios in the summer of 2008 because the model failed to meet technical standards. In a check made in November, NHH found Tesco was still selling the radios. (MTI – Econews)
