Telenor wins train internet tender with HUF 6.4 mln bid

Telenor Magyarország has won a two-year contract to provide mobile internet access to passengers on some of regional railway company GySEV's services with a bid of HUF 6.4 million, the latest issue of the Public Procurement Gazette reveals.

Telenor beat Magyar Telekom in the bid.

GySEV had estimated the price of the contract to be about HUF 8 million.

The service is expected to be made available in 17 carriages travelling the Sopron-Győr and Győr-Budapest lines by March. (MTI – Econews)
