Revenue of Telenor Magyarország fell 5% to HUF 42.5 billion in Q3 from the same period a year earlier because of a cut in centrally-regulated termination fees and lower voice turnover, the company said on Wednesday.
EBITDA was practically flat at HUF 21.1 billion.
Subscriber number dropped 7,000 to 3,547,000. The number of pre-paid subscribers fell the most.
Telenor Magyarország's share of active subscribers in Hungary inched down to 32.68% at the end of September, making it the second-biggest of Hungary's three mobile telecommunications companies. The company held 28.46% of the mobile broadband market.
Capital expenditures plunged 43% to HUF 1.6 billion. The company said it is focusing on broadband internet investments this year.
Average revenue per user (ARPU) came to HUF 3,762 a month in Q3, down from HUF 4,013 in the same period a year earlier. ARPU rose 2% from the second quarter because of seasonal effects and “improving trends”, Telenor Magyarország said. (MTI – Econews)
