Hungarian plate glass maker Szilánk on Thursday laid the cornerstone of a HUF 2.4 billion production hall and warehouse in Szeged (SE Hungary).
The 3,000 sqm production hall costs HUF 1.5 billion to build, but is supported with a HUF 683 million government and European Union grant. Szilánk also won a HUF 250 million EU grant for the HUF 900 million, 8,000sqm warehouse.
The investment is expected to be completed by the end of September.
Szilánk had consolidated revenue of €22 million in 2010. It employs 300 people to turn out products exported to 30 countries.
